Network Outage – Friday, February 29th

This Friday’s maintenance window will affect the network (wireless, network drives, portal, etc.) in the entire Law School building. OTS is replacing switches in advance of the University’s new phone system. The regular maintenance window is scheduled from 6-10 PM, but this work should begin closer to 7:30 and last for a period of 30-45 minutes. Signage will be posted in the computer lab; however they are recommending that all users save all files on their computers prior to 6:00pm.. After the outage, if you experience any problems or difficulties with your computer, try re-booting it.

Free (as in free beer) Case Law

As Elmer notes in his post on Teknoids, Lots of Free Case Law, Now I Have Work To Do:

Coverage includes the Supremes, 1 U.S. 1 solid through 524 U.S. 775 plus intermittent coverage through 2005; Circuits, 178 F.2d 1 through 999 F.2d 1584 and 1 F.3d 1 through 491 F.3d 1342.  All of the decisions are very nicely formated in XML and transform wonderfully to the web.
