Alumni Directory

The University of Baltimore School of Law has contracted with Harris Connect to create an updated alumni directory for purchase by our alums.  Harris Connect is a data services company founded over 40 years ago, and produces more than 600 alumni directories a year.  The company will be contacting all UB Law alums by mail and telephone through summer and fall 2009 to obtain updated contact information.

For more information, check out our Harris Directory Project 2009 page.

Libraries and Facebook

The Law Librarian Blog reports on a study by librarians at Valparaiso on the attitudes of students toward libraries’ use of Facebook. The biggest concerns are those regarding mixing of private/work/library spheres. This is of particular interest to me, because I manage our library’s Facebook page.

Network Outage – Friday, February 29th

This Friday’s maintenance window will affect the network (wireless, network drives, portal, etc.) in the entire Law School building. OTS is replacing switches in advance of the University’s new phone system. The regular maintenance window is scheduled from 6-10 PM, but this work should begin closer to 7:30 and last for a period of 30-45 minutes. Signage will be posted in the computer lab; however they are recommending that all users save all files on their computers prior to 6:00pm.. After the outage, if you experience any problems or difficulties with your computer, try re-booting it.
